Educate

Learn about what we do and who we are at PCR.

Purrgatory Cat Rescue (PCR) was founded in February 2024 with a mission dedicated to giving solace, sanctum, sustenance, and support to all felines. We hope that with your help, we can make a big difference in the lives of cats in our area with any gesture of goodwill.

To help and support PCR and the lives of cats in the Columbus community, you can volunteer your time, provide our fosters with supplies, share our social media content, or make a monetary donation to help cover the cost of medical care and supplies for our cats. Any and every bit helps!

We're making a difference with your support!

CATS SAVED

At PCR, we believe the lives of cats and our communities can be improved primarily through the trap-neuter-return method (or TNR). With the help of our volunteers, we're reducing the feral cat population in an ethical way.

We've constructed a brief overview of the TNR method and benefits of feline population intervention. Check it out!

We're building a safer world for our feline friends.

What is trap-neuter-return?

Trap-neuter-return (or TNR) is an alternative, non-lethal, and humane approach to controlling feral cat populations. This approach involves the gentle capture of "community cats." The cats are then admitted to a reliable veterinary service where they are spayed or neutered. After a successful recovery period, the cats are then returned to their natural environment/area from where they were captured, effectively controlling the cat population of a target area.

Get in touch with us!

Because we are volunteer-powered, Purrgatory Cat Rescue does not have a brick & mortar location. Please submit a contact request form and we will reach out to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your interest!
